International Residency with João Paulo Lima

New UK and Brazil collaboration

Jean Abreu Dance are excited to announce our latest international exchange and residency at South East Dance, UK, featuring our Artistic Director, Jean Abreu, and Brazilian artist João Paulo Lima. Together, they will further the creative process behind their latest collaboration, Dark Ruim.

This residency goes beyond creative exploration. Jean and João will engage with artists, organisations, and practitioners across the UK, fostering connections and expanding the discourse around inclusivity in dance.

A key highlight of this residency is the Crip Dance Workshop where disabled and non-disabled movers in Brighton are invited to explore movement and dance through the lens of Crip theory.

Jean Abreu Dance are delighted to be supporting and hosting this vital and inspiring international exchange.
