Aequus

Aequus finds its energy in the cyclical life force of nature, blending live music, movement and text.

Journeying into the heart of Brazilian culture, Abreu delivers his own sensuous blend of latin, capoeira and contemporary dance powered by the infectious rhythms of Brazilian music.

Aequus unites an international cast of highly skilled dancers in a mesmerising display of raw physicality and explosive movement. The title means even balance in Latin – and this energetic piece, inspired by the Amazonian rainforest, gives form to ideas of natural cycles and interdependence through abstract compositions full of lush sensuality and dynamic harmony.
